On arrival in Zambia, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Lusaka Airport and driven to Kasanka National Park.

On arrival, you will check in at your lodge and relax for the rest of the day.

The day has finally arrived: welcome to Zambia! We'll get your safari underway as soon as we go through a few introductory formalities. Then we just know you'll fall in love with this amazing country.

Among the most mind-blowing natural phenomena you’re ever likely to witness is the sight of the world’s largest mammal migration winging it over the forests of Kasanka National Park.

Other notable features of Kasanka include a photographic hide overlooking a swamp inhabited by the rare sitatunga antelope, an astonishing 470 bird species recorded within 390km², and elusive populations of elephant, buffalo and leopard.

After breakfast, you will head out for an early morning game drive.

An early morning game drive in Kasanka National Park begins with a golden sunrise filtering through misty woodlands. The air is crisp, filled with birdsong as you traverse lush wetlands and forest trails.

You might spot shy sitatunga antelope moving silently through the reeds or catch a glimpse of duiker, bushbuck, or even elephants. The stillness is magical, broken only by the sounds of nature awakening.

After that, you will go for the bat migration experience.

Witnessing the bat migration in Kasanka National Park is an awe-inspiring spectacle. Each year between October and December, over 10 million straw-colored fruit bats fill the skies at dusk, emerging from the Mushitu swamp forest in a breathtaking, swirling cloud.

The air hums with movement as they search for fruit, creating a dramatic natural display.

Later, you will return to the lodge.

After breakfast, you will head out for an early morning walking safari.

Come with us on a walking safari, where you'll enjoy the thrill of stepping out into the African wild with an experienced guide.

Although you won't be watching the animals from a vehicle, it's still very safe, and it's a priceless opportunity to feel really connected to the animals you'll see and the landscapes you'll explore in a whole new way

In case you are interested, you have a canoe trip on the Luwombwa River, which is payable at the location.

Later in the evening, you will be taken for the bat migration experience again.

After having a delightful breakfast, you will be transferred to Lusaka Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
