On arrival in Dar es Salaam Airport, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it and driven to Nyerere National Park.

Here in Nyerere National Park, you might just fall in love with going on safari. Nyerere is, after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa. Lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest – you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are definitely harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. The rocky hills rise over parts of the reserve, the Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees.

After breakfast, you will embark on a full day game drive in Nyerere National Park.

Pass more time in Nyerere National Park, with its plentiful wildlife and landscapes you won’t find anywhere else.

You can as well choose to participate in a walking safari early in the morning then continue with the normal program of a full day game drive. The walking safari is an optional activity at USD 20 per person.

Another full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park takes you deep into one of Africa’s largest and most remote wilderness areas. From early morning until late afternoon, you'll explore a range of habitats teeming with wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, and abundant birdlife. The Rufiji River adds to the scenery with hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant bird species. With picnic stops in scenic spots, this immersive safari offers both thrilling sightings and peaceful moments in nature’s untouched beauty.

You can choose to visit the local village around Nyerere National Park which is USD 15 per person.

After breakfast, you will have an early morning game drive into the afternoon before being driven to Morogoro.

Along the road between Dodoma and Dar es Salaam, Morogoro is a busy provincial city of more than 300,000 people. It offers a glimpse of life beyond Tanzania’s tourist circuit. With good restaurants and places to stay, and facilities from markets to banks for changing money, Morogoro also has everything you need as you pass through. And don’t forget to admire the backdrop of the Uluguru Mountains that rise above the city to the south.

On arrival in Morogoro, you will check-in at your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mikumi National Park where on arrival, you will embark on a game drive.

In case you are interested, you will visit the Maasai Village which is an optional activity at USD 15.

You’ll explore Mikumi National Park, nestled away in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands and one of the least-known parks in the country. It’s actually Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park, and there’s a good chance that you’ll see giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and crocodiles amid all the baobabs, light woodland and savannah-like plains. Remember, too, that Mikumi is one of the best places in this region of Africa to see wild dogs. And because far fewer safaris make it out here than they do to other, better-known parks, you’ll enjoy the whole experience in relative peace.

After breakfast, you will head out for a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park.
Spend more time in Mikumi in the shade of baobabs and alongside elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs and more.

A full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park offers a rich and rewarding safari experience across open grasslands and acacia-dotted plains. Often compared to the Serengeti for its landscapes, the park is home to elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. With fewer crowds and well-maintained roads, wildlife viewing is easy and frequent. The day allows you to fully absorb the beauty of Mikumi’s natural environment and diverse animal life.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Udzungwa Mountains National Park.

Quite unlike any other park in Tanzania’s east, Udzungwa Mountains National Park is where you get to go bird watching in the forest and look for the park’s 10 species of primate. Udzungwa has more primate species than any other Tanzanian park. Udzungwa is an oasis of forested mountains, rich in birds and lush in its deep greens that contrast so strongly with the dry country that surrounds it in every direction. Elephants and hippos are commonly seen in the Kilombero floodplain, but it’s the forest trails and Udzungwa’s monkey populations that you’ll most enjoy.

You will have a half Day Walking Safari through a lush rainforest with a park ranger to discover endemic species of primates, birds and plants and hike to Sanje Waterfall (one of the country’s largest). Swimming in the waterfall. Picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint.

Come with us on a walking safari, where you'll enjoy the thrill of stepping out into the African wild with an experienced guide. Although you won't be watching the animals from a vehicle, it's still very safe, and it's a priceless opportunity to feel really connected to the animals you'll see and the landscapes you'll explore in a whole new way.

After, you will be driven to Iringa for dinner and overnight.

Here in non-touristy Iringa, look forward to one of the country’s best museums, outstanding rock art and archaeological sites.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Ruaha National Park where you will have a game drive on arrival.

Take in everything that Ruaha has to offer – it’s one of Tanzania’s least-visited but most rewarding parks. Ruaha is famous for its big lion prides – the lion population here is one of Africa’s biggest. You can also expect big elephant and buffalo herds, as well as plenty of giraffe, hippo and zebra. The variety of birds is also incredible, with more than 450 species recorded in the park. Apart from the animals, what many travelers love most about visiting here is the feeling of exploring a true African wilderness that’s one of the most beautiful anywhere on the continent.

A night game drive at USD 190 per person can be organized upon request.

After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive in Ruaha National Park.
No one ever regrets spending more time in Ruaha – the more time you can spend here the better.

You can choose to have a walking safari in the morning and then continue with the normal program. The walking safari costs USD 40 per person.
